{Ride with the Kids}

Well today we weren't able to go to Montana because of the roads and the snow. SO we took the kids for a ride. Everyone had such a fun time. The boys road together and took turns driving. The girls took turns riding with Kent and I. We didn't get too far up the trail but it was a fun time. But we were able to get up into some open areas where the boys could play before we headed back. On the way back we saw a moose bull and a cow and a calf just off the trail... and just a few minutes down the trail we saw a deer. While we were crossing the fields heading back to the truck I finally got Karsyn to drive. Of course I was holding on but I was letting her use the throttle and mostly steer by herself. She was so proud of herself. Back home we went for some good food, hot chocolate and a movie.

Unfortunately I only snapped these two pictures. One on the way up there and the other when I got the little girls ready to go. Once we were there we realized we forgot the bag for my sled so I had no where to put the camera. Next time.

{the drift that had my name on it}

So last night on my way home on 200 I found a drift with my name on it. I was going like 15 mph the whole way home but was at this point crawling along. The wind was unreal and so it was nearly impossible to see anything. I could see some lights up ahead of me. Little did I know they were all very stuck as well. The road was nearly blown completely in, 3+ feet deep in places. I was only out of the Denali for a few minutes and I was soaked to the bone. SO there went the straight hair for today... instant wave girl- yup that's me. I am just so glad that I didn't have to spend the night out there. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR

This morning I went back over to get a picture or two of my nice experience.

This side view is where I was when I got stuck.. granted the plow has made it look different now... I WAS SO VERY STUCK. I am grateful to kind neighbors and friends with kind words. Other wise I would have gave into the tears.

NOTE TO SELF:

when it is snowin and blowin don't take 200

{Preschool Christmas Program}

Marly did such a great job tonight. What a big girl she is getting to be. She was so brave and knew all her songs and dances... and she was darn cute, too.

{Papa n Grandma's Christmas Party}

Karsyn was being so cute just listening to the boys read the Christmas Story.

But when she saw me taking pictures her mood changed. Dad and Uncle Rick just totally cracked up. She is so funny that way.

Instant change in her! Can you say Drama Queen?

Later she was back to her happy silly self.

Papa and Grandma thanks for having us all over. It was great to be with the family. Thanks for singing with us Papa. Braydon and I will never forget it. Oh and Grandma we love you even with those piano glasses! We love you both so much.

{Happy Birthday Marly}

~OUR LITTLE ANGEL GIRL~

Marly loved Dance Recital this year. She was such a darling little Angel. WOW is our baby really 4 years old? It almost seems impossible. Here is Marly in 2008.

This has been a big year for Marly. She no longer has accidents, she was in her first dance recital, she got to see the ocean (and still talks about seeing the blow hole with Grandpa), she was brave enough to ride in the tube behind the boat, she started preschool, she made new friends, she dresses herself as long as mommy doesn't insist, she also can do her own hair (which she is very proud of and sometimes Mommy has to insist to help with that too. lol), she learned to swim and ride a bike with no training wheels and so much more. Woah what a big year for such a little girl.

For Marly Dora is the coolest and we get to spend a lot of our days playing with, listening to and watching Dora. Infact, once in a while we will be at the store and she will tell me what color drink she wants in Spanish... too bad I don't really know spanish huh - lol (Maybe Mommy needs to watch some more Dora). For Marly the choice is simple PURPLE it has to always be purple. Onda K. and preschool are at the top of her list this year. First thing every morning she is ready to head out the door to play with our new neighbors, she is a very social child. She also adores her Daddy, which he doesn't mind at all I am sure. At this stage she just says the funniest things out of the blue, she keeps life interesting while the other kids are at school. For her birthday she wanted to have a chocolate party again. We were amazed that she remembered that we had one last year. Marly is our chocolate kid. Most kids like chocolate but she just loves it.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

{Thanksgiving}

What a great Thanksgiving. It was so wonderful so see everyone. I only wish I would have stopped talking to take more pictures.

Marly was having a fun time. I couldn't get her to hold still.

Treyson never stops to smile for a picture.. but he did today.

Grandma and Hailey

Karsyn and Charlie had a blast together.

On Thanksgiving day I found myself looking for Grandpa. I know he has been gone almost a year but I am still not used to having him gone. More than once I realized he wasn't coming and there was a little tug on my heart. I miss him.

Those of you we didn't get to see we sure missed you. With families as big as we have it is totally impossible to ever be with everyone on every side of your family. BUT we love you all. I feel so blessed and have so much to be grateful for.

{Thought}

I saw this when I was with my Mom today. I have always enjoyed the saying but today I got it for the kitchen. To be sure I didn't forget to put it up I did it right when I got home. :) I love it... it is right above the window by the sink.

I am not going to tell Kent just to see how long it takes him to notice it...

{November Page}

I am involved in a scrapbook page and card exchange. We meet each month and rotate trading pages or cards. It is a lot of fun and I end up with a ton of pages and cards. I usually have 2 or 3 months worth of pages ready. But this time I woke up and realized that I didn't have a page GREAT!!! So, I had an hour- I hate it when I have to hurry like that.

I didn't give it a title but it is a baby page~

{Halloween}

Halloween was busy and fun and tiring and cold and rainy and fun. I only have a few pictures for now... my camera died and I was out of batteries. So, I will have to get the pictures from mom ASAP. Until then...
