{the 4th}

The kids and I went to the Rexburg Parade. We met up with Marshall, Bethany and Treyson. The kids of course loved it and got tons of candy. They really loved when the Army trucks came through and soaked all the kids.

Kent... lighting fireworks with the kids after dinner

We all went into the Ashton fireworks. I have to say it is so much fun to watch them that close. The kids loved it too.

After we came back to Grandma's to "get ready to go home" but it seems Kent, Neil and Scott had other ideas. They were like kids in a candy shop lighting off fireworks that Neil had. Seriously they were having a blast but everyone else was a nervous wreck. Shooting bottle rockets off by hand ... you get the idea. The kids had a blast but after a while we pulled them all up on Grandma's porch for safety. Even then Kent still lit a bottle rocket that hit the lawn and bounced off the house... it hit the lawn about 2 feet from me. BIG TROUBLE. No not really but it did scare me.

{Pack Meeting}

Thursday was the last day of swimming and they taught the kids swim safety. "Before you take a flying leap make sure the water's clear and deep!" It was cute to watch Marly repeat the saying along with the big kids. It was fun but I am glad it is over.

At Pack Meeting Ryker recieved his Wolf Badge and Braydon recieved his Webelos Badge with 7 activity pins. The boys worked so hard for this night. We had Pack Meeting outside and after awards we roasted hotdogs over a fire.

After Pack Meeting Kent and I took our kids into Rigby to watch the fire works. We stopped at Dr. Bishops office to sit on her lawn. The kids were super tired. Just as the fireworks finally started the sprinkler system soaked us. So we quickly jumped up and moved back. Let's just say that it was a memorable night.
