{Day at the Res}

Saturday Dad took us to the reservoir for Karsyn's post Birthday fun. Karsyn has been asking if we could go boating for her birthday since February. So... Grandpa came to the rescue. Marshall, Bethany and Treyson came too. We all had fun. Before we went home Kent showed up to play for a couple hours. The kids were thrilled that daddy could come for a while!

Braydon did so good. Of course as soon as he had gone a little further than he ever had before he had to jump. Well, of course. We were watching him and Kent leans over and says "Watch he's gonna try to jump." Sure enough he did and wiped out.

Ryker usually gets his fun on the ski's or wake board in too... but it was still really cold. The girls were brave this year. We didn't even have to coax them onto the tube or jet ski. It was a suprise to have them be so brave - it was a blast. Even Grandma took a turn on the tube with the kids (secretly she takes the kids with her for her own safety - and a softer ride) what a great sport!
We had a GREAT afternoon.

I can't really believe that Karsyn is 6 already. WOW! We did some fun things for her birthday. Thursday we went to the splash park. Friday we went to lunch just Mom and Karsyn. She wanted to go to the Hard Hat. Then she ordered Mac and Cheese and Huckleberry Lemonade. I just laughed and let her get what ever she wanted. After our food they brought her ice cream with cool whip, sprinkles and a brownie. She was embarrassed when they sang to her so she hid under my arm. Then we went shopping. She needed some soccer/t-ball cleats so we found just the right pair and of course the matching pink socks and pink scrunchy for practice. Then we stopped to get pink birthday balloons. Afterward we were going to go get our toes done... but that was scary for her so we skipped that stop and went straight to Grandma's to get the other kids. When Daddy finally came home we grilled hot dogs & cut up cantaloupe and pineapple for a picnic dinner out back. Last but not least we had cake and a final present. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL GIRL!

Karsyn is a big helper. She is silly and sweet. Her laugh is contagious. She loves babies, kitties, littlest pet shops and looking at blogs. She can be very girly and a tom boy too. She keeps us on our toes. We are so grateful to have her in our family.

Lindsey and the Kids sat with Braydon, Kent and I... Ryker was at Baseball Practice and Karsyn and Marly were on a float for Dance Unlimited. I felt lost without anyone to worry about. Braydon helped get candy for Audrey. He also got a cool hat and even got us all Chocolate Milk (and one he saved for Ryker.) Ryker was sad he had to miss the parade and that he would miss the Chocolate Milk. We tried to convince him the milk isn't in this parade but he had none of that. After the parade we rounded up all of our kids and went to the City Park to find Lindsey. The kids all ate doughnut twists and made a mess.

Braydon has been retelling the joke from church... "Father's Day is just like Mother's Day except the gift is cheeper!" Most of the time he gets it right sometimes he gets it backwards ... which at our house would really make more sense. lol- BUT it truly is the thought that counts!

"Beautiful Day"Taylor's Blessing was so sweet and she was so adorable in her long dress. It was so fun to see everyone (of course we missed Scott and his family). Finally it was a perfect day... like it might actually think about being summer around here! The kids especially loved getting to put their hands in paint on Grandma's flag. Most ot the family went to feed the fish but we were off to Papa and Grandma's house.
