So last night on my way home on 200 I found a drift with my name on it. I was going like 15 mph the whole way home but was at this point crawling along. The wind was unreal and so it was nearly impossible to see anything. I could see some lights up ahead of me. Little did I know they were all very stuck as well. The road was nearly blown completely in, 3+ feet deep in places. I was only out of the Denali for a few minutes and I was soaked to the bone. SO there went the straight hair for today... instant wave girl- yup that's me. I am just so glad that I didn't have to spend the night out there. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR
This morning I went back over to get a picture or two of my nice experience.

This side view is where I was when I got stuck.. granted the plow has made it look different now... I WAS SO VERY STUCK. I am grateful to kind neighbors and friends with kind words. Other wise I would have gave into the tears.
NOTE TO SELF:when it is snowin and blowin don't take 200

I suggest just moving to Georgia, then you NEVER have to deal with these kinds of things. :)
I have told my mom that we won't come home in the winter anymore for that reason. It is so hard to drive on the roads there (especially when I am so out of practice).
However, I WOULD love a nice dusting of snow for Christmas day. It's just not the same without it, so for that reason I am jealous of all your snow. :)
I am glad you got unstuck! I haven't left my house for 2 days because I didn't think my van could get out of the driveway! And it didn't look like fun driven weather! It is so not fun getting stuck anywhere! I did it many times in AK! Glad you are safe! And thanks for the tip!
Oh Becca....you make me laugh:). I am glad to know that I am not the only one who goes out in the snow when common sense tells me to stay home. See ya soon!!!
